This one recognizes something Go Green Electric has believed in from the beginning.
On July 22, 2026, Go Green Electric President and founder Judson Clements accepted an award from the Virginia Peninsula Clean Business Forum recognizing the company's outstanding contributions in commercial beautification, litter control, and innovative green initiatives.
For Judson and the Go Green Electric team, the recognition connects directly to an idea that started nearly two decades ago in Newport News:
There had to be a better way to run an electrical company.
The Story Behind Go Green Electric
In 2008, Judson was working for a large electrical contractor when he began noticing things he believed could be done differently.
Too much wasted time. Too much wasted material. Corners being cut while everyone worried about the bottom line.
Judson envisioned a different kind of electrical company — one built around honest recommendations, quality workmanship, fair pricing, and electricians who respected a customer's time and money.
Efficiency would be part of it too.
Not just efficiency for the company, but reducing waste and helping customers make smarter decisions about the energy they use.
That idea became Go Green Electric.
Today, the technology may be different, but the philosophy is much the same.
What "Go Green" Means Today
